After going through the 7000 steppes
I reach the graybeards. I saw that this group that is formed of 4 members are
living in isolation and through investigation I saw that they receive the
necesery needs from the town downhill .also when I was on my way to the top of
the mountain I saw many statues that contain some writings on them. One example,
is the photo I attached where the statue states the story of men learning the
voice from Paarthunax, who I believe is a dragon because the voice is the
language of dragons. Kenerest is the goddess that Arnegier claim have taught
mortals the way of the voice for the advancement of religion.
Arngeir approach to teaching me the
dragon language was interesting. I Decided to include my language learning
experience and compare it to what my character was exposed to. the Dragonborn
learns the dragon language through first reading the word and then receiving some
sort of power and at last speaking ,
shouting.it is interesting because I can’t see how did the Dragonborn learn how
to read the word in the first place knowing this language is new to him. What brought
this thought to mind is our current community way of learning which is as I believe
is beginning with listening like new borns. Let’s take for instance a German
child raised in an English speaking family we could say that the German
language is in his blood but he didn't get the sufficient exposure to this
language.

I really like how you include screenshots in your plogs. It really helps me understand what's going on during your quests. I like the comparison to learning the dragon language to your German example.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I think its cool how you found the Greybeards during the day! I got there when it was nighttime and had to learn everything in the dark, and this added a spookier component to the game for me. With seeing the pictures that you so generously posted, I am able to get a feel for what you genuinely experienced!
